The Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 11, 2026 went to Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood in Dick Johnson Racing’s Shell V-Power Ford Mustang, who took the lead on the final lap at Mount Panorama in Bathurst, New South Wales.
How it was won
Car 17 started second and led for much of the day, but a slow second-to-last pit stop, which included a brake change, dropped it to fifth. Kostecki stretched his final stop to lap 150, set back-to-back Gen3 lap records on laps 152 and 153, passed Will Brown, then Zach Bates at Murray’s Corner with three laps left. A Safety Car, the first of the day after 156 green laps, came out when Chaz Mostert crashed at Forrest’s Elbow, which set up a three-lap dash. On the 161st and final lap, leader Anton De Pasquale’s #18 Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro ran out of fuel on Mountain Straight, and Kostecki swept past to win by 1.1844 seconds in 5:54:04.749. Car 17 led 77 laps, the most of anyone.
