For Deborah Wedemeyer, the automotive industry isn’t just a profession. It’s a lifelong passion, a family legacy, and a way of serving others. Born on Immigration Row in Bayou St. John, New Orleans, Louisiana, Deborah developed her love for automobiles at an early age. She learned alongside her great-aunt, one of the few women in the automotive repair industry at a time when it was almost entirely male-dominated. More than a skilled mechanic, her great-aunt became Deborah’s mentor. She taught her the importance of honesty, integrity, hard work, and always standing behind your work. Those early lessons became the foundation for everything Deborah would later build.

Founding Testarossa Motors

When Deborah moved to Texas, she followed her dream and founded Testarossa Motors. Since 1995, she has been one of the few women to own and operate an independent automobile dealership. The Meaning Behind the Name

The name Testarossa, Italian for “red head,” was one Deborah proudly chose herself. With Italian and Irish heritage, and having been born on Immigration Row in New Orleans, the name was a natural fit. It reflects not only her vibrant red hair, but also the passion, determination, and resilience that have defined her life. To Deborah, Testarossa is more than a dealership name—it’s a promise to treat every customer with respect, fairness, and genuine care.

Deborah enjoys fast cars, gliding through the skies, dancing, fishing, boating along the Texas Gulf Coast, traveling, and creating lasting memories with the people she loves. How do I pay a down payment at Testarossa Motors?

Testarossa Motors takes down payments by cash, cashier's check, Venmo or Zelle. Credit and debit cards are not accepted for down payments, so plan to use one of those four methods before you come in or before you finish a remote purchase. If you are buying from out of town, Venmo or Zelle lets you send the down payment without visiting the lot, and the team will confirm the exact steps with you by phone. Financing through outside lenders, typically 575+ credit, is available if you need it, and you can ask about it when you call. Every buyer's situation is different, so the best first step is a quick conversation about the car you want and how you plan to pay. Keep your receipt or confirmation for any down payment you send, and bring a photo ID when you pick up the vehicle or arrange delivery with the team.

Do I need an appointment to visit Testarossa Motors?

Appointments are recommended at Testarossa Motors, but they are not required to visit. Booking a time means the car you want is pulled up, cleaned and ready to drive when you arrive, and someone is free to walk you through it without a wait. You can still stop by during open hours without one. The dealership is open Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays, so plan weekend visits for Saturday. If you cannot come in at all, Testarossa Motors offers remote buying and delivery, so you can choose a car, handle the paperwork and arrange delivery without visiting in person.
