For Deborah Wedemeyer, the automotive industry isn’t just a profession. It’s a lifelong passion, a family legacy, and a way of serving others.Born on Immigration Row in Bayou St. John, New Orleans, Louisiana, Deborah developed her love for automobiles at an early age. She learned alongside her great-aunt, one of the few women in the automotive repair industry at a time when it was almost entirely male-dominated. More than a skilled mechanic, her great-aunt became Deborah’s mentor. She taught her the importance of honesty, integrity, hard work, and always standing behind your work. Those early lessons became the foundation for everything Deborah would later build.
Founding Testarossa Motors
When Deborah moved to Texas, she followed her dream and founded Testarossa Motors. Since 1995, she has been one of the few women to own and operate an independent automobile dealership. She has helped thousands of customers purchase quality pre-owned vehicles while earning a reputation for honesty, transparency, and exceptional customer service.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Testarossa, Italian for “red head,” was one Deborah proudly chose herself. With Italian and Irish heritage, and having been born on Immigration Row in New Orleans, the name was a natural fit. It reflects not only her vibrant red hair, but also the passion, determination, and resilience that have defined her life. To Deborah, Testarossa is more than a dealership name—it’s a promise to treat every customer with respect, fairness, and genuine care.

Deborah believes purchasing a vehicle should be an exciting milestone, not a stressful experience. Rather than simply selling cars, she considers herself an advocate for her customers. When she’s away from the dealership, Deborah’s greatest joy is spending time with her husband, Brian, and their family. She is the proud mother of two successful adult sons and a fun stepmother to a son who attends the local high school. Her faith in God is the foundation of her life and guides both her personal values and the way she conducts business.Deborah enjoys fast cars, gliding through the skies, dancing, fishing, boating along the Texas Gulf Coast, traveling, and creating lasting memories with the people she loves. No introduction would be complete without mentioning two special family members: Coco Chanel #23, the beloved mascot of Testarossa Motors who has become a local favorite, and Raina Marie, the family’s cherished cat.
