Raúl Fernández of Trackhouse led from the start, with Bezzecchi second. The pair pulled away while Bezzecchi set the fastest laps of the race. On lap 19 he passed Fernández into Turn 1 and pulled out a gap, winning in 40:46.582 by 4.260 seconds. Jorge Martín, Bezzecchi’s factory Aprilia teammate, was third, and Ai Ogura fourth, giving Aprilia machinery the top four places. Marc Márquez finished sixth.
